Laney’s Legacy of Hope is a Berks County based nonprofit that provides support to families fighting pediatric cancer and pediatric cancer research.
In honor of our namesake, Delaney Brown- an 8 year old West Reading girl who inspired people all over the world during her battle with AML and sadly passed away on Christmas morning in 2013, we have provided grants to 97 families and 2 research grants (each $100,000!) to CHOP to support clinical trials for new treatments and one day, a cure.
We are unique in that we are all volunteer-run, meaning 100% of the money donated to Laney’s Legacy is used for our mission, and that we continue to have relationships with our Fighter families long after we mail our checks. They attend our events, keep in touch, and many have now even become friends with each other because of connections they made at our events.
When you attend a fundraising event hosted by Laney’s Legacy of Hope, you can bet you will have a wonderful time while supporting a worthy cause. Our events are memorable for being laid back, friendly and FUN, all while maintaining a recurrent theme of “Fighters are Family”.
