Penn State Health St. Joseph offering Free Flu Vaccines in Drive-thru Clinics

10/13/20 – Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center has canceled two community drive-thru flu shot clinics that had been scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 14, 4-7p, and Saturday, Oct. 17, 9-2pm.

Since the start of the flu season, the medical center has distributed nearly 3,000 vaccines to the Berks community during its first public drive-thru flu shot clinic and employee events done in partnership with large area employers.

The medical center chose to cancel the clinics to ensure it can meet the future needs of inpatients and staff. The medical center has requested an additional supply from vaccine manufacturers and will reschedule the flu vaccine clinics, if possible.

9/30/20 – Penn State Health St. Joseph will host three community drive-thru flu shot clinics during October at its Bern Township campus, 2500 Bernville Road, Reading.

Held in the parking lot just off the Red Bridge Road entrance, the clinics will be offered Wednesdays, October 7 and 14, between 4-7pm, and Saturday, October 17, between 9-2pm.

The vaccines, which are free of charge, are available to anyone six months and older. Masks are required to receive a vaccine.

To receive a vaccination, participants must print and complete the flu vaccine acceptance form posted on St. Joseph’s website and bring it with them to the clinic.
