After consulting with community leaders and partners regarding the health and safety of fans, artists, vendors, venue staff, and volunteers, Berks Arts Council has made the decision to postpone the 4th annual Reading Blues Fest from November 20-22, 2020 to November 19-21, 2021.
Following increased and overwhelming concerns about COVID-19 virus, the arts council says they felt it was the best way to proceed, given the unprecedented global situation.
“Berks Arts Council staff and board of directors are very disappointed that we are unable to hold this event for our fans and supporters. But we know it’s the right decision based on the information we have today” said a statement from the Arts Council.
The 30th Annual Boscov’s Berks Jazz Fest is scheduled to be held April 9-18, 2021 which will feature a variety of Blues artists including Kenny Neal & The Neal Family Review; Craig Thatcher Band; Billy Price & The Charm City Rhythm Band and Tab Benoit.
“We are thankful to our many fans, supporters, volunteers, vendors, sponsors and the DoubleTree by Hilton Reading team for their continued support of the Reading Blues Fest and Berks Arts Council.”
