The Caernarvon Township Police Department and the Twin Valley Fire Department participated in the Twin Valley Middle School Community Days today. Chief John Scalia, Sergeant Matthew Menna and Detective Corporal Chad Eberly met with the 5th and 6th grade students and explained what kind of training it took to become a police officer.

Caernarvon Township Police Officers also talked about some of the reasons why they become police officers, what it was like in the academy, what their favorite parts of the job are, how they help members of the community, and the type of equipment they have and its uses.

“The Caernarvon Township Police Department would like to thank the Twin Valley Middle School for inviting us to this event this year. It was a blast meeting all the students and answering their questions. We look forward to next year!” said Chief John Scalia in a news release.
