Representative Houlahan Cancels Town Hall Due to Security Risk

U.S. Representative Chrissy Houlahan was scheduled to host a Town Hall event at the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts Thursday evening. However, due to a “potential security risk”, the event was abruptly cancelled.

Houlahan has been hosting Town Hall events across the region, her last being West Chester, PA. Tonight would have been her 10th Town Hall. Houlahan was planning to discuss local infrastructure with the Berks County community.

A sign on the door informed guests of the situation. Reading City Police, along with a GoggleWorks security guard, stood outside of the Boscov’s Film Theatre. Neither had an explanation as to what the potential security risk was.

Houlahan’s social media pages state the Town Hall will reschedule.
