The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a Special Weather Statement Monday, March 9th, due to the enhanced threat for brush fires this afternoon.
Covering Southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey, local communities included in the watch are Reading, Allentown, Bethlehem, Media, Philadelphia, Honey Brook, Oxford, West Chester, Kennett Square, Collegeville, Pottstown, Norristown, Lansdale, Chalfont,
Perkasie, Morrisville, and Doylestown.
Minimum Relative humidity values this afternoon will be 15 to 25 percent, and winds may gust up to 20 mph. The combination of low humidity, gusty winds and drying fine fuels will lead to an enhanced threat for fire spread today.
