The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Watch for Southeastern Pennsylvania, including Berks County, from late Tuesday night through Wednesday morning.
The first overnight cold snap of the fall season is expected to bring sub-freezing temperatures as low as 30 degrees. Frost and freeze conditions will likely kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
The Free Watch is in effect from midnight on Tuesday to 9am Wednesday. Take protective measures now as freezing temperatures could damage or kill tender plants and vegetation. Potted plants should be brought inside.
