Winter Storm Warning, Heavy Snow Forecast Sunday into Monday

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the Southeastern Pennsylvania region including Berks County from 5pm Sunday to 10am Tuesday.

Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 15-20inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

Snow will develop west to east mid-day Sunday and last through late Monday or early Tuesday.

A period of wintry mix or rain is expected to occur Sunday night and Monday morning before turning back to snow by Monday afternoon.

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
