kTown Hall and Kutztown University Small Business Development Center partner for Free Headshot Event

Any local professional looking to update their headshot is invited to take part in a free Headshot and Networking Event held at kTown Hall Coworking on Thursday, May 4 from 12:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

“kTown Hall is always thinking about ways to support small businesses, entrepreneurs, and remote workers,” said Anne Timpe, Community Director of kTown Hall. “We are pleased to partner with the Kutztown University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to host this event which provides cost-effective, quality headshots to our members and the larger professional community.”

kTown Hall is a membership-based coworking office space, located in the old town hall building at 277 Fair Street in Kutztown. Coworking provides a comfortable, professional space to make connections and mix up a remote work routine. With several membership options ranging from on-demand day passes to a permanent desk with full-time access, kTown Hall offers flexibility to customize the best work environment to suit an individual’s or business’s needs.

SBDC’s mission is to provide entrepreneurs and small business owners with the knowledge needed to make smart decisions and prosper. They offer existing businesses and early-stage entrepreneurs access to no cost, confidential consulting services and learning opportunities.

“Many of our members are freelancers or small business owners who understand that first impressions are often online,” explains Timpe. “Yet a lot of people are using a headshot that is several years old. If your headshot is from before the pandemic started, it’s time for a new one.”

“I first had the pleasure to work with the SBDC after they invited kTown Hall to speak on a panel about growing your business,” said Amy Miller, freelance writer and novelist who is also the Community Manager at kTown Hall. “As someone who was in the process of starting my own small business, I immediately signed up for their help with marketing. SBDC did a brand photoshoot for my website, which included a much-needed updated headshot. It was a fantastic experience and I’m thrilled with my new photos.”

To Rachael Wolfe, Director of Digital Strategy and Leadership Development at the Kutztown University SBDC, the partnership made perfect sense since it aligns with their goals to engage and support local business owners. “Our mission at SBDC is to help people with an entrepreneurial spirit take those next steps they need to be successful. Providing professional headshots is a perfect way to help them start the process of refacing their digital presence.”

This event is open to anyone who would like to have a professional headshot taken. Digital copies of the photos will be provided to all participants. As an SBDC event, attendees are required to register in advance at https://pasbdc.ecenterdirect.com/events and provide contact and business information. Once registered, attendees will be contacted to sign up for a specific time slot.

While at kTown Hall, attendees will also have a chance to meet members of their community, tour the space, and discover all the free resources SBDC has to offer, including more extensive brand photoshoots.
