Munchiez Cafe celebrates grand opening in Shillington Farmers Market

After overcoming a two-year journey filled with food truck adventures and community events, Munchiez Cafe, owned by Jay Marcano, has officially opened its doors at the Shillington Farmers Market.

Marcano, the visionary behind Munchiez, initially ventured into the food industry with the purchase of a food truck two years ago. However, his initial opening faced delays due to the necessary permits. Undeterred, Munchiez started by serving employee’s outside a local trash hauling company, eventually expanding to festivals, teacher appreciation events, and catering services.

The decision to open a cafe came after Munchiez garnered popularity, often selling out of its diverse menu items such as DA POUND, THAT STEAK JAWN, THE GIZZY, BLAZZIN BIRDY, and MUNCH FRIES. Debating between acquiring another food truck or establishing a fixed location, Marcano heeded the advice of family and friends, choosing to set up shop at the heart of the Shillington Farmers Market.

Munchiez Cafe prides itself on being a family-owned business dedicated to bringing a variety of culturally inspired foods to the community. With a focus on freshness, exceptional customer service, and creating a memorable dining experience, Munchiez aims to provide a unique culinary adventure for its patrons.

Whether it’s the savory allure of THAT STEAK JAWN, a cheesestake served with savory bacon, Cooper Sharp cheese, sauteed onions & peppers, or the tantalizing taste of THE GIZZY, a juicy all beef patty chopped up w/ bacon, lettuce, ham, cooper sharp cheese, sauteed onions, mayo squeezed into a wrap, Munchiez Cafe promises to deliver on its commitment to diverse and flavorful offerings.

As Munchiez continues to evolve its presence in the local culinary scene, the grand opening of Munchiez Cafe marks a significant milestone in Jay Marcano’s culinary journey. The Shillington Farmers Market is now home to a haven for food lovers seeking a delightful blend of cultural flavors and a welcoming atmosphere.
