Through emails and zoom call the Reading chapter of Altrusa International was able to coordinate ways give back to several organizations in December.
The organization was able to provide 80 bags of homemade cookies, Christmas cards for veterans. The group also provided 6 families dinner food boxes for Christmas dinner, baby formula, decorated the waiting room.
Wyomissing Health and Rehab received goodie bags for residents and huge basket of treats for staff, Hope Rescue Mission cookies, and Opportunity House received 3 boxes of books and cookies.
Members of Altrusa say they are very proud of the impact they made to the community during this pandemic.
Altrusa International of Reading-Berks, Inc. is a volunteer organization of members united in service, personal development, and fellowship. 2018 marks the 75th Anniversary of the ReadingBerks Chapter.
