In honor of School Director Recognition Month, the Berks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU) recognized its Board of Directors during the BCIU Board meeting held on Thursday, January 15, 2026.
For the ninth consecutive year, the BCIU marked this statewide observance through its Annual Student Artwork Showcase, a signature initiative that honors the Board of Directors while celebrating the creativity and voices of students across Berks County. This year’s theme, “Together We Shine,” highlights the importance of collaboration, community, and shared success in education and features artwork created by high school students representing all 18 Berks County school districts. The pieces will be displayed in the BCIU Boardroom throughout the year and shared with the broader community through a virtual gallery and video available on the BCIU website at: https://www.berksiu.org/page/student-artwork-showcase.
Dr. Jill M. Hackman, Executive Director of the Berks County Intermediate Unit, expressed appreciation for the Board’s leadership and service:
“The BCIU Board of Directors keeps students at the center of every decision. Their commitment to education and to the mission of the BCIU has a lasting impact across Berks County.
