Berks Treasurer Requiring Antlerless Deer Applications to be Mailed

Due to the ongoing health threat presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Berks County Treasurer’s office is changing its policy regarding antlerless deer (doe) licenses for 2020.

According to the Treasurer’s, all applications must now be sent by US mail, not purchased over the counter for this season.

Officials say use of the drop box is also prohibited. Applications without a US Postmark will be returned.

The processing of routine mail-in license applications began on July 13.

According to the Pennsylvania Game Commission, any applications received on August 24 or after will be treated like an over-the-counter purchase.

Applicants can apply for unlimited licenses for wildlife management areas 2B, 5C and 5D, but are limited to three applications per envelope.
