Since its implementation in 1983, the SPSC program has graduated over 30,000 students both nationally and internationally and is widely recognized as one of the premier law enforcement management programs in the United States.

Chief Hook now joins an elite group of law enforcement leaders who have successfully completed this intensive educational program, which is specifically designed for senior-level personnel for top-tier positions in law enforcement.

“The successful completion of this intensive program underscores the Board of Superviors and the department’s unwavering dedication to the professional development of all officers and leaders within the SHPD,” said Chief Hook. “The advanced leadership and management skills acquired at Northwestern SPSC will be an invaluable asset to our department and the community we serve, and we are committed to sending other department leaders to this valuable training in the future.”
