1 taken to hospital after shooting in southwest Reading

The City of Reading Police Department is investigating a shooting that has left one person hospitalized Thursday night. The incident took place around 8pm in the 600 block of McClellen Street.

According to initial emergency radio traffic, Police and EMS arrived to the scene and found a 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound near the intersection of Pershing Boulevard and McClellan Street, which is located inside the Oakbrook Homes community.

The man was transported to the hospital, condition unknown.
