Police investigating early morning armed robbery at Royal Farms in Amity Township

Police are investigating an early morning robbery that occurred at the Royal Farms convenience store located at 1340 Benjamin Franklin Highway (Route 422) in Amity Township.

According to Crime Alert Berks County, the incident happened around 2:50 a.m. on Sunday, July 6, 2025. Authorities say an unknown suspect entered the store armed with a rifle and robbed two customers at gunpoint, taking their wallets. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.

No injuries were reported, and the suspect has not been identified.

Amity Township Police are actively investigating and ask anyone with information to submit an anonymous tip to Crime Alert Berks County. Tips leading to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $10,000.
