Police seek help identifying suspect in assault, robbery in Heidelberg Township

South Heidelberg Township Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a person connected to an assault and robbery that occurred earlier this month in Heidelberg Township.

According to Crime Alert Berks, the incident took place around 6 p.m. on Feb. 13 in the 700 block of West Penn Avenue in Heidelberg Township. Police said the investigation involves an assault and robbery reported at a residence after the suspect had been contacted by the complainant through Facebook to complete contractor work at the property.

Authorities did not release information about the victim or specify items taken during the incident. The suspect has not been identified.

Police are seeking help from the public in identifying the individual connected to the case. Anyone with information is encouraged to submit an anonymous tip to Crime Alert Berks County. Tips that lead to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $10,000.
