The Reading Police Department has announced that an arrest has been made in connection with the shooting that occurred at the 3rd and Spruce Recreation Center.
An arrest warrant was obtained for Roylin Cabral-Villa, 18, who faces charges including Aggravated Assault, Risking Catastrophe, Firearms Not to Be Carried Without a License, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person for his alleged role in the incident.
On the morning of February 5, 2026, at approximately 5:00 a.m., members of the Reading Police Department, working in coordination with the United States Marshals Service, apprehended Cabral-Villa in Girardville, Schuylkill County. The arrest was made without incident.

As in every criminal case, it is important to remember that an arrest or filing of charges is only an allegation, and the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
