Pennsylvania State Police, Troop L, Hamburg Station conducted a DUI checkpoint Friday night, April 14, 2023, in the area of Route 61 southbound near East 9th Street in Shoemakersville Borough.
According to a public information report, Troopers made contact with 93 motorists with the following results:

Three drivers were field tested for suspicion of driving impaired, none arrested for suspicion of DUI.
One was arrested for drug possession and drug paraphernalia, four citations were issued, and two warnings were issued.
