The Douglass Township Board of Supervisors have announced that the Township has been awarded a $180,000 grant through the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources’ (DCNR) Community Conservation Partnership Program to support the improvements of Ganshahawny Park on Old Philadelphia Pike in Douglassville, Berks County.
The planned park improvements, funded in part by the DCNR grant, will advance a key phase of the Township’s long‑term vision for enhancing public recreation and preserving open space.
Township officials said they will share additional project details and timelines as plans progress.
The Community Conservation Partnership Program (C2P2) provides funding to support local recreation, conservation, and community enhancement projects throughout Pennsylvania, including park development, land conservation, trail planning, and more.
