Building a Better Boyertown has announced the return of its annual Oktoberfest, now in its 18th year, set for Friday, Sept. 12, and Saturday, Sept. 13, in the Town Center parking lot.
Organizers say this year’s festival will be the largest yet, bringing the sights, sounds, and flavors of Bavaria to the heart of Boyertown. The two-day event will feature traditional German music, dance performances, food, and activities for all ages.
Friday’s festivities will run from 6 to 10 p.m. with entertainment from Yodeling Dave Kline & his Mountain Folk Oktoberfest Band. On Saturday, the event begins at 1 p.m. with the ceremonial keg tapping led by Mayor Lori Carnes, accompanied by the Boyertown Alumni Band. The lineup throughout the day includes performances from the Auerhahn Schuhplatter Verein German Dancers, GTV Edelweiss Dancers from Liederkranz, the Happy Dutchman German Band, and Fitz Magee.
Families will find activities for children on Saturday, including Leaf Creek Adventures Gem Mining, inflatables from Let Us Bounce, and face painting by Heidi. A stein-holding contest will also be held for both kids and adults.
The beer garden will offer authentic German brews along with local craft beer and cider. Entry to Oktoberfest is free, though the beer garden requires a cover charge and drink tickets. Food trucks and vendors will also be on-site with a variety of food and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase.
Building a Better Boyertown is presenting the festival with support from the Gabelsville Athletic Association, Friendship Hook and Ladder Social Club, and the Colebrookdale Railroad.
“Oktoberfest is more than just a festival—it’s a community tradition that celebrates culture, heritage, and togetherness,” the organization said in announcing the event.
