On Saturday, November 29, CHOR Youth & Family Services will host Christmas on the Farm — a free, family-friendly event at the Jim Dietrich Park Farmhouse in Muhlenberg Township from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. This festive morning will feature visits with Santa, holiday crafts, a petting zoo, sweet treats, and warm beverages for all to enjoy.
Thanks to the generosity of local businesses and community sponsors, CHORYFS is thrilled to offer this celebration as a way to honor and uplift foster and adoptive families during the holiday season.
“The holidays can be a difficult time for many of the children and families we serve,” said Jen Mongi., Senior Director of Programs at CHORYFS. “Events like this are more than just fun — they’re an opportunity to create joyful memories, build connection, and remind families that they are deeply valued and supported by their community.”
Christmas on the Farm is proudly supported by local sponsors including:
- Utilities Employees Credit Union (UECU)
- Reading Plastic & Metal Advanced Machining
- Kozloff Stoudt Attorneys
- Diamond Credit Union
While Santa visit slots have already filled, the event remains open to the public and all are welcome to stop by, enjoy the festivities, and learn more about how to support local children and families through foster care, adoption, or volunteering.
Information and resources will be available on-site for those interested in becoming foster or adoptive parents, or in getting involved with CHORYFS’s broader mission to support youth and families across the region.
This event is free and open to the public. No registration is required to attend general festivities.
