The LGBT Center of Greater Reading will host a Spaghetti Fundraiser Dinner on Saturday, September 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. to support staff training and development. The event will take place at the Center’s headquarters at 640 Centre Avenue in Reading.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will help cover registration, travel, and lodging costs for the Center’s staff to attend the CenterLink National LGBTQ+ Conference in October. The annual conference provides training, tools, and resources to enhance the programs, services, and advocacy efforts offered by LGBTQ+ community centers across the country.
“Our team brings back invaluable insights and strategies from this conference every year,” said Laura Biancone, Executive Director of the LGBT Center of Greater Reading. “From organizational management to mental health support, the training we receive helps us grow as leaders, advocates, and service providers.”
Tickets are $30 per person and must be purchased in advance. In addition to a spaghetti dinner, the evening will include opportunities for community connection and stories highlighting the Center’s impact in Berks County and beyond.
Those unable to attend can still support the effort by making a donation or volunteering. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.lgbtcenterofreading.com or call (484) 345-5765.
