The Reading-Berks Guild of Craftsmen will celebrate a milestone this month as it hosts its 75th Annual Juried Holiday Fine Art and Craft Festival at Kutztown University’s O’Pake Fieldhouse.
The two-day event is scheduled for Saturday, October 25, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, October 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Organizers say more than 75 artisans will take part, showcasing both traditional and contemporary works ranging from jewelry and ceramics to fiber arts, woodwork, glass, and folk art.
Highlights of this year’s festival include a Student Gallery featuring emerging artists, live music, an on-site café, and daily giveaways for the first 50 attendees. To mark the anniversary, a special prize drawing is also planned.
Admission is a $6 donation at the door, with children 12 and under admitted free. The venue is fully handicap accessible. Proceeds support the educational programs of the Reading-Berks Chapter of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen.
The festival is presented in partnership with the Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center and Kutztown University.
