Wyomissing announces 2026 Egg Hunt at Wyomissing Hills Memorial Park

The Borough of Wyomissing is excited to welcome families back to one of the community’s most cherished traditions — the Annual Egg Hunt — taking place on Saturday, March 28th, 2026, at Wyomissing Hills Memorial Park at 11:00 am.

Children ages 1 through 12 are invited to participate in this long-standing community celebration. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, staggered start times will be held by age group, giving each child the opportunity to fully enjoy the hunt.

New this year, the Recreation Department is introducing a special “Golden Egg” in each age division. These eggs will look just like the rest during the hunt — but once opened, one lucky child in each group will discover they’ve found something much more than candy. Golden Egg winners will receive a large prize basket filled with exciting surprises, thoughtfully curated to create a truly memorable experience.

Families will also have the opportunity to take photos with Briar the Bunny, who will be on-site greeting children and posing for pictures throughout the event.

“The Egg Hunt is one of those special traditions that brings Wyomissing families together year after year,” said Jess Leinbach, Chairperson of the Egg Hunt Sub-Committee and Recreation Board Member. “There’s nothing better than watching hundreds of kids dash across the park with huge smiles, hunting for eggs and making memories with their families. Seeing the excitement on the kids’ faces reminds us why this event means so much to our community.”

The Borough is grateful for the generous support of its community partners who help make this event possible. Special thanks to LEO Designs, Boscov’s, Godiva Chocolatier, R. M. Palmer Company, Chick-fil-A, Redner’s Markets, McDonalds, and Tom Sturgis Pretzels for their generous donations and continued commitment to supporting Wyomissing recreation events.

The Borough also extends sincere appreciation to the Wyomissing Hills Citizens Social Committee, a long-time sponsor and dedicated participant in this event. Each year, the committee adds an extra layer of excitement and surprise by hiding one hundred single dollar coins among the eggs, making the hunt even more memorable for lucky participants. The Annual Egg Hunt remains a meaningful tradition that brings neighbors together and celebrates the strong sense of community that defines Wyomissing.

In the event of inclement weather, the rain date is scheduled for Sunday, March 29th, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
