High-speed car crash in Northeast Reading leaves four hospitalized

Several people were hospitalized with serious injuries Saturday, September 23rd, following a high speed car crash around 9pm on North 13th Street near Spring Street in Reading.

Initially reported as five vehicles involved, the occupants two of the vehicles were trapped inside their cars following the crash. Another vehicle that was impacted also caught fire as firefighters arrived on-scene.

Several ambulances responded to the scene. Four people were transported to the hospital in serious condition. As of Sunday afternoon, Police say no fatalities were reported.

A large debris field stretched from the intersection of Spring Street to Hampden Blvd, ending with a vehicle into the front yard of a house.

Police declined to share any additional information on the crash. This post will be updated if/when additional details become available.
