State Police to participate in “Click It or Ticket” campaign, offering free car seat checks

The Pennsylvania State Police – Reading will take part in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s “Click It or Ticket” campaign from Monday, November 10 through Sunday, November 30, 2025. The initiative focuses on increasing seat belt use and reducing roadway fatalities caused by unbelted motorists.

Vehicle crashes remain one of the leading causes of death in the United States, with many of those fatalities involving drivers or passengers who were not wearing seat belts. Pennsylvania’s current seat belt usage rate is 87.6 percent, and the department aims to help raise that figure to 89.1 percent by the end of 2025.
