PennDOT has announced several upcoming roadway maintenance projects across Berks County scheduled to take place during the week of March 9.
In Greenwich Township, work is planned on Dunkel’s Church Road between Crystal Ridge Road and Kohler Hill Road from March 9 through March 13. Crews from PennDOT Maintenance Forces will perform maintenance work under daytime lane restrictions with flagging between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Motorists should expect delays and are urged to use caution while traveling through the work zone. Rain may cause delays.

In Centre Township, brush cutting will take place along Tilden Road between Irish Creek Road and Boundary Road from March 9 through March 13. Work will occur between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. each day with lane restrictions and flagging. Motorists should expect delays and exercise caution in the work zone. Rain may cause delays.
In Tilden Township, PennDOT crews will conduct brush cutting along Interstate 78 between Exit 29 (PA 61) and Exit 23 (Shartlesville) from March 9 through March 12. Work will take place on the shoulder between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Drivers are advised to use caution while traveling through the work area. Rain may cause delays.
In Reading and Cumru Township, bridge repair work is scheduled along U.S. 422 between Penn Street and Interstate 176 from March 9 through March 12. Crews will be working at various locations along the corridor during daytime hours from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with lane restrictions in both directions. Motorists should expect delays and use caution while traveling through the work zone. Rain may cause delays.
