Bridge repair, maintenance work: PennDOT upcoming roadwork February 1, 2026

In Tilden Township, PennDOT maintenance forces will be conducting brush cutting along Interstate 78 between Exit 29 (PA 61) and Exit 23 (Shartlesville). The work will involve daytime shoulder restrictions from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., beginning Feb. 2 and continuing through Feb. 5. Drivers are advised to use caution when traveling through the area, and rain may delay operations.

A one-day brush cutting project is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 6, along Dunkels Church Road in Greenwich Township, between Crystal Cave Road and Kohler Hill Road. PennDOT crews will be working on the shoulder with flagging in place from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should proceed with caution, and rain may affect the schedule.

Additional brush cutting is planned along Interstate 78 in Bethel Township, between the Lebanon County line and Exit 23 (Shartlesville). PennDOT maintenance forces will work on the shoulder during daytime hours from Feb. 2 through Feb. 5, between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Drivers should remain alert in the work zone, and rain may cause delays.

Also in Bethel Township, PennDOT crews will perform brush cutting along PA 645, between the Schuylkill County line and Pine Grove Road, on Friday, Feb. 6. The work will take place from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., with shoulder work and flagging in effect. Motorists are urged to use caution, and rain may impact the schedule.

In Richmond Township, maintenance work is planned on Crystal Ridge Road between PA 143 and Crystal Cave Road. PennDOT crews will implement daytime lane restrictions with flagging from Feb. 2 through Feb. 5, between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Drivers should expect delays and travel carefully through the work zone. Rain may cause delays.

Finally, bridge repair work is scheduled along US 422 in Reading and Cumru Township, between Penn Street and Interstate 176. PennDOT maintenance forces will be working at various locations throughout the week, with daytime lane restrictions in place from Feb. 2 through Feb. 5, between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate delays and use caution while traveling through the area.
