The U.S. Postal Service is inviting the public to help select a past stamp pane to be reissued as part of its 2026 program. The Stamp Encore Contest is being held in celebration of the Postal Service’s 250th anniversary and in anticipation of the nation’s 250th anniversary the same year.
Twenty-five of the Postal Service’s bestselling and most popular stamp panes from recent years are in the running, including designs featuring Bugs Bunny, Mister Rogers, Star Trek, Wonder Woman, and the Emancipation Proclamation.
Voting is open now through Sept. 30 and can be done online at stampsforever.com/vote or by mailing in a printed ballot from the website. The contest is open to everyone, and there is no limit on how many times a person can vote.
The winning stamp design will be revealed in May 2026 at the Boston 2026 World Expo, timed to coincide with the country’s semiquincentennial celebrations. Until then, results will remain under wraps.
Stamps and other philatelic products are available online through the Postal Store at usps.com/shopstamps, by phone at 844-737-7826, by mail through USA Philatelic, and at Post Office locations nationwide. Additional stamp information can be found at stampsforever.com.
