Keith S. Chesler, (Chesler) a Commercial Relationship Manager for Quaint Oak Bank — a bank that has provided more than 95 years of service to the greater Lehigh Valley community — specializes in offering a wide variety of commercial loan and deposit products and services.

Chesler routinely handles loans for business acquisitions and start-up ventures, including SBA 7(a) small-business loans, backed by the U.S. Small Business Administration, and SBA 504, which may provide long-term, fixed rate financing of up to $5 million for fixed assets. The program promotes business growth and job creation.

Chesler handles commercial real estate transactions including both purchase and refinance transactions. Accordingly, his bailiwick is financing owner occupied as well as investment properties. Keith’s transactions generally range from $500,000 to 5,000,000.00 (Loans outside these parameters may be considered as well). Property types include commercial, industrial, commercial/mixed use, strip-malls, and residential investment properties with five or more residential units.

Business owners also count on Chesler to help with loans for equipment purchases and lines of credit. These loans can be collateralized in a variety of ways, including but not limited to, business assets including accounts-receivable and inventory. It is apparent that Chesler is an experienced lender that routinely handles a wide variety of commercial lending transactions.

Per Chesler’s own words “I once did a loan for a doctor who needed a tattoo removal machine,” he said, “and on the other hand, I have done multiple commercial construction projects. I am also prepared to handle a guidance line for a company’s fleet of delivery trucks if needed.”

Chesler has worked in financial services at several major financial institutions, including both regional and local banks, for more than 20 years. He brings passion and knowledge to help his clients develop and manage their financial needs.

“There is a lot more to my job than facilitating loans,” he said. “It’s about developing long-term mutually beneficial relationships with my clients.”

Instead of simply serving their financial needs, Chesler gets to know his customers and their businesses. He gives his clients what he calls “time, caring and concern.” His focus on communication and respect helps him understand their needs and goals while delivering results.

For the most part, Chesler said, his work is consultative with a concierge approach to deposit servicing. This often entails studying a commercial client’s financial needs, collecting and analyzing financial and other data to determine creditworthiness and conducting outside client visits in order to recommend appropriate banking services and solutions to be implemented by his bank.

All things considered, Chesler’s expert financial guidance is memorable. Gained through years of experience, it is offered in a friendly, almost pastoral manner, which has been cultivated over the 30 years he has been an Orthodox Rabbi. It is also clear that eleven years of teaching for the Baltimore Council of Jewish Educational Services has helped Chesler become an effective communicator with any audience. Chesler has also acquired a permanent teaching license from the Baltimore Council of Jewish Education Services and Rabbinical Ordination from Congregation Nachal Chochma. Keith was a High School, College, and Semi-Pro athlete. Clients sometimes say he “speaks their language,” and they often mean it quite literally. Chesler is fluent in four languages and somewhat conversant in about 25 others.

Chesler holds six higher education degrees, including a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware, Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts from Baltimore Hebrew University, now part of Towson State University in Towson, Maryland. He also holds a Talmudic Law Degree from Ner Israel Rabbinical College.

A committed family man, Chesler is blessed with nine children, seven boys and two girls. He lives with his wife and family in the Allentown area.

His diverse background, experience and commitment put Chesler in a position to be a conscientious, strategic partner for individuals and business owners.

He said “Although many commercial lenders offer similar services on different levels, what sets me apart is my commitment to purpose, as well as the caring and building of relationships. Quaint Oak Bank is relationship oriented and looks to create exclusive banking relationships whenever possible rather than single transaction relationships.”

The bank’s top-notch service results in loyal customers, who look to Quaint Oak for all their banking needs, including a wide variety of deposit services and products including checking and savings accounts as well as loans.

“A good customer is someone who does more than just pay their bills,” he said. “They have their deposits with the bank, they know people who works at the bank, they remain loyal, and they value all the effort that went into getting their loans approved.”
