Reading School District announced Thursday afternoon it will be temporarily closing Reading schools as preventative measure against Coronavirus. There have been no confirmed or reported cases in Reading School District or Berks County.
An alert message on the districts website states that maintenance crews will complete a thorough cleaning of all district buildings and facilities.

Schools will remain closed until Tuesday, March 17. In addition, all extra-curricular activities held at district facilities have be canceled, effective today through Monday.
The district has also launched a dedicated a web page with preparedness resources: www.readingsd.org/coronavirus.
