Herm Edwards to Headline Olivet’s 2026 Leaders & Legends Dinner

Olivet Boys & Girls Club of Reading & Berks County has announced its signature annual fundraising event, the 2026 Leaders & Legends Dinner, to be held Monday, March 30, 2026, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Reading. This year’s theme, “Game Plan for Greatness,” highlights the transformative power of mentorship, leadership, and community partnership in shaping the future of young people who are club members.

Headlining the evening will be renowned former NFL and college head coach, and longtime ESPN football analyst, Herm Edwards, whose message of purpose, discipline, and teamwork embodies the values at the core of the Olivet mission.

Chaired by community leaders Pete and Rachel Rowley, the dinner will bring together supporters and advocates dedicated to advancing opportunities for youth throughout Greater Reading. The Rowley’s emphasize the importance of investing in young people today to build a stronger community tomorrow, underscoring the spirit and purpose of the Leaders & Legends Dinner.

“We are honored to return as chairs of the Leaders & Legends Dinner because we believe deeply in Olivet’s mission and the lifechanging impact the Club has on young people across Berks County. Every child deserves a game plan, a mentor, and a community that believes in their greatness. This event showcases exactly that—and we’re proud to help lead an evening that celebrates hope, possibilities, and the bright futures of Olivet youth,“ stated Pete & Rachel Rowley.

The evening will begin with an exclusive VIP Reception from 5:00–6:00 p.m., offering top sponsors and their guests a special opportunity to meet Coach Edwards. The main program—scheduled from 6:00–8:30 p.m.—will shine a spotlight on Olivet Club youth through inspiring performances and stories that reflect the evening’s theme of A Game Plan for Greatness.

As part of the annual tradition, the event will honor outstanding community partners, including Champion of Youth Honoree, Nancy Deale, and Partners for a Great Future Honoree, Boscov’s, recognizing their longstanding dedication to creating meaningful opportunities for local children and teens. A highlight of the program will be the announcement of the 2026 Olivet Youth of the Year, celebrating a Club member who exemplifies academic excellence, leadership, and service.

Your support opens doors for Olivet Club Kids! Proceeds from this year’s dinner fund the grand reopening of Olivet’s PAL and Mulberry Street sites, preparing them to serve nearly 1,000 additional youth annually beginning in the 2026-2027 school year. Your generosity ensures Olivet has the program supplies and skilled staff needed to support this growth – so Club Kids can thrive and reach their full potential. Whether you choose to sponsor, attend, or donate to this dinner, your support can be the key that unlocks a lifetime of possibilities for Berks County’s youth.
