Enforcement efforts continued later in the day with a second detail beginning at 3:30 p.m. Officers from South Heidelberg Township, along with a Pennsylvania State Trooper, conducted a two-and-a-half-hour operation targeting aggressive driving along South 2nd Street at Brickplant Road in Heidelberg Township. That effort resulted in six additional vehicle stops for speeding and other safety-related infractions.

Police said the enforcement details are part of Pennsylvania’s Highway Safety Program and are funded through PennDOT using federal funds provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Officials said the department will continue targeted enforcement efforts as part of its commitment to improving safety for residents and commuters.
