Greater Reading Chamber Alliance announces Scott Hamilton as Annual Dinner keynote speaker

The Greater Reading Chamber Alliance announced Tuesday that Scott Hamilton will deliver the keynote address at its 109th Annual Dinner.

Hamilton is not only the 1984 Olympic gold medalist in men’s figure skating, but he also is a best-selling author, four-time cancer survivor, television broadcaster and motivational speaker.

As a champion and survivor, he is a constant reminder that anything is possible with faith, fortitude and determination.

Hamilton’s speech titled “Finish First” will delve into what it’s like to live a life focused on winning – not for self-glorification, but to impact the world for the better.

Pursuing excellence in his career and life, Hamilton believes it’s never too late to chase greatness. Attendees will be inspired by his mindset to reject average and finish first in all aspects of their lives.

The Dinner will celebrate the Greater Reading business community with the newly named Business Excellence Awards Wednesday, May 11 from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Santander Arena, Reading.

The public is invited to join GRCA for its signature event, which provides local business leaders the opportunity to network, entertain guests and clients, and celebrate the achievements of the Greater Reading business community.

The nomination period for the Business Excellence Awards is currently open. All nominations forms are due Friday, March 4. Late submissions will not be accepted.

For each award, nominated businesses are ranked according to revenue growth. GRCA member KPMG LLC will handle tabulating the rankings. All Business Excellence Award winners will be recognized via a video montage tribute with special recognition to the Top 3 in each category at the Annual Dinner. Eligible businesses may apply at greaterreading.org/annualbusinessawards.
