Caernarvon Township Police Investigating Catalytic Converter Theft

The Caernarvon Township Police Department is investigation a theft incident where catalytic converters were cut out and stolen from a 2014 F250.

The theft happened on Sunday, May 30th 2021 between about 10:45am and 11:00am, at the Morgantown Classic Auto Mall, 6180 Morgantown Road.

Police describe the suspect vehicle as a 2000’s vintage White GMC Savana Cargo Van, with padlocks on the passenger side cargo door and the rear cargo door. The vehicle also has a white roof rack. The vehicle appeared to have the license plate either removed or covered. The suspect was observed to be dressed in black pants and black hoodie.

Investigators also say the incident appears related to additional similar incidents in surrounding counties as the same suspect and suspect vehicle and suspect were described in other incidents.

Anyone with information pertaining to this theft incident or can identify the suspect or suspect vehicle is asked to submit an anonymous tip to Crime Alert Berks County.
