Two arrested after drugs, guns, cash seized from Southwest Reading home

The Reading Police Department announced Thursday afternoon that a recent search warrant resulted in seizure of drugs, guns and cash from a home in Southwest Reading.

On Thursday, April 21, 2022, the Reading Police Department served a search warrant in the 300 block of Wood Street relative to the distribution of crack cocaine.

As a result of the search warrant, the investigators seized the following items; 3 handguns, 1 AK-47 style rifle, approximately 18 grams of crack cocaine, and US Currency.

Police say two residents were arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver and related charges. In addition, a third individual located in the apartment was arrested for an outstanding warrant from the Berks County District Attorney’s Office.
