Berks Parks Facilities Reopening for Weekend hours, Tours starting June 4

The Berks County Parks Department will be reopening the Berks County Heritage Center and the Bingaman Nature Center to visitors starting Friday, June 4, 2021.

The Heritage Center and the Bingaman Nature Center will be open on weekends during the following hours: Fridays and Saturdays, 10-4pm, and Sundays 12-4pm.

Guided tours of the Gruber Wagon Works and C. Howard Hiester Canal Center will be offered each day with tours starting on the hour: Friday and Saturday tours will start at 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm, and on Sundays at 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm.

Tours will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Tours will start at the lower level of the Heritage Center’s Visitor Center Barn. Admission fees are cash only with children six and younger free.

All visitors, staff, and volunteers will be required to wear masks when on tour and when inside any of the facilities located at the Heritage Center and Bingaman Nature Center.
