Discovery Federal Credit Union donated 1,000 PPE medical gowns to Penn State Health St. Joseph on Wednesday afternoon at the hospital’s main campus in Bern Township.
“Credit unions are member-owned and operate with the inherent philosophy of people helping people. Discovery FCU is proud to have played a role in this initiative to help give our frontline responders the protection they need,” said Ed Williams, President and CEO of Discovery Federal Credit Union.
The donation is part of a collaborative initiative involving 17 regional credit unions and credit union partners that jointly raised more than $220,000 in just five days to collectively purchase and donate 30,000 Personal Protective Equipment medical gowns to healthcare facilities throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
