The City of Reading will illuminate City Hall and the Penn Street Bridge in blue to honor the heroic detectives of the Northern York County Regional Police Department — Cody Becker, Mark Baker, and Isaiah Emenheiser — who tragically lost their lives in the line of duty last week.
Mayor Eddie Morán expressed his heartfelt condolences, saying:
“Detectives Becker, Baker, and Emenheiser devoted their lives to protecting others. Their bravery and commitment will never be forgotten. On behalf of the City of Reading, we extend our deepest sympathy to their families, colleagues, and the entire York County community. By lighting our landmarks in blue, we stand together in solidarity with their service, sacrifice, and the men and women of law enforcement everywhere.”
The blue illumination serves as a solemn tribute to these fallen heroes and a reminder of the courage and dedication law enforcement officers demonstrate every day to keep our communities safe.
