The City of Reading has announced the appointment of Jack Gombach as its new Managing Director. Jack brings over a decade of experience in public service, government affairs, and community engagement, with a proven track record of leadership and strategic innovation. His focus will be on driving growth, enhancing public services, and creating new opportunities for residents and businesses.
Jack’s career has been marked by successful efforts in policy development, economic growth, and building strong relationships between government, businesses, and the community. Before this role, he served as a Government Affairs Consultant, advocating for public policy and community needs.
Jack Gombach expressed his enthusiasm for the role, stating, “I am honored to serve as the new Managing Director for the City of Reading. This city holds immense potential, and I am committed to working alongside Mayor Moran, City Council, and our dedicated team to create opportunities for growth, foster innovation, and enhance the quality of life for all residents. Together, we will build a vibrant, thriving Reading that we can all be proud of.”
Mayor Eddie Moran expressed his confidence in Jack’s leadership, saying, “After interviewing several qualified candidates, I am confident that Jack is the right person for this role. His experience and dedication to public service will help us continue to make Reading a better place for all. I also want to thank City Council for their support in approving his appointment.”
Jack Gombach currently serves on several local boards, including the Berks County Municipal Authority, Greater Reading Chamber Alliance, Penn State St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Penn State St. Joseph’s Foundation, Reading PA, and Reading Area Community College.
