The City of Reading Revitalization and Improvement Zone Authority (CRRIZA) is reminding all businesses located within the CRIZ that, under Pennsylvania law, they are required to submit an annual report detailing certain state and local taxes paid during the 2025 tax year. The report must be submitted to the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue and the City of Reading no later than June 15, 2026.
This reporting process is informational only and is not a method for paying taxes.
For the second consecutive year, CRRIZA has partnered with an accounting firm to assist businesses with completing the required state and local tax report at no cost.
Businesses interested in scheduling an appointment with the accountant can email CRIZ@readingpa.gov or call 610-655-6286. While businesses are not required to use the accounting assistance service, they may also complete the report independently using the instructions available on the City’s website.
Failure to complete the required report by the June 15, 2026 deadline will result in a non- compliance penalty.
Mayor Eddie Morán encouraged businesses to take advantage of the available assistance and submit their reports on time.
“CRIZ continues to play an important role in supporting investment and economic growth in our city,” said Mayor Morán. “We want to make this process as easy as possible for our business community, and I encourage all eligible businesses to complete their reporting requirements before the deadline.”
