A 61-year-old man from Alsace Township is facing charges following a road rage incident in which he allegedly fired multiple shots at another driver using a realistic-looking BB gun, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.
The incident occurred around 4:49 p.m. on May 8 at the intersection of Pricetown Road and Hemlock Lane in Alsace Township. Troopers responded to the scene after receiving reports of a possible firearm being discharged during a verbal altercation between two drivers.
According to police, the victim—a 55-year-old man from Barto—told troopers the confrontation began after the suspect, identified as Daniel Iezzi, made an unsafe turn in front of him. During the ensuing argument, Iezzi allegedly brandished what appeared to be a firearm from his truck window and fired five to six shots at the victim before driving away.
Troopers later located Iezzi, who reportedly admitted to displaying a realistic CO2-powered BB pistol and firing several rounds. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to Berks County Booking. Charges have since been filed.
The weapon was recovered by troopers at the time of arrest.
This case remains under investigation.
