A 31-year-old Cumru Township man was arrested Thursday morning after investigators seized two kilograms of fentanyl during a joint drug investigation, according to the Berks County District Attorney’s Office.
The arrest of Junior Rondon-Ceballo, of the 200 block of Pennwyn Place, followed a probe launched in July 2025 after detectives received information alleging he was selling drugs in Reading. The Berks County Drug Task Force and Reading Police Department executed a search warrant around 6 a.m. Thursday on Rondon-Ceballo, his vehicle, and his residence.
Authorities reported finding two kilograms of fentanyl, digital scales, packaging materials, and other drug paraphernalia. Investigators estimate the drugs carry a street value of about $500,000 and could potentially be broken down into 100,000 individual doses for sale.
Rondon-Ceballo was taken into custody and processed at the Berks County Sheriff’s Central Processing Center, where he was photographed and fingerprinted. He faces charges of possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, possession of fentanyl, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is awaiting preliminary arraignment before a Magisterial District Judge.
The District Attorney’s Office noted that the arrest is part of an ongoing investigation and stressed that Rondon-Ceballo is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
