The Pennsylvania State Police Reading Station is investigating after a deceased body was located Tuesday evening along the Schuylkill River in Union Township.
Dispatched around 5pm, State Police had the Schuylkill River Trail bridge, near the Morlatton Village trailhead, closed for several hours for the investigation.

Firefighters were eventually called in that night with ATVs and a rescue boat to aid in the recovery effort. The body was recovered from the location it was found Wednesday morning.
As of Wednesday afternoon, investigators say the body has not been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
