Emergency dispatchers received multiple 911 calls around 7:27 p.m. on June 6, reporting a male suffering from serious injuries and initially reported to be unconscious. Police arriving on scene confirmed there were two victims and requested a second ambulance.

According to a statement released Monday by the City of Reading, both teens were treated on-site by officers and Reading EMS before being transported to Reading Hospital. Authorities said the 15-year-old later died from his injuries. The second victim, also a teenager, has since been released from the hospital.

The investigation remains active, and officials say there is no threat to the public. No further details have been released at this time.
