The Eastern Berks Regional Police Department is investigating a report of a vehicle which allegedly followed a Boyertown Elementary student home from school Thursday afternoon.
According to investigators, on Thursday November 19th, Eastern Berks Regional Police were contacted by a parent of a Boyertown Elementary School student who reported to have been followed by a white van on S. Madison Street near the Colebrookdale Township / Boyertown Borough line, while walking home from school.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:35pm at school dismissal time.
The vehicle involved was described as a white van with windows all around and curtains on all the windows except the driver’s side window and the windshield.
The driver was described as a white male in his 30’s or 40’s, wearing a hat and a black hoodie.
Police say the individual did not attempt to communicate with or initiate contact with the child, nor do they have any evidence that a crime was committed or that there was a specific intent to commit a crime. However, they are seeking information in order to investigate further.
