Shooting in Northeast Reading leaves one person injured

One person was injured Monday afternoon following a shooting in the 1200 of North 11th Street in Reading.

According to the Reading Police Department Criminal Investigations Division, when officers arrived to the scene, they found 41 year-old male with 3 non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to the leg and arm.

Through the investigation, it was reported that there was a fight inside an apartment at the location and that persons inside the apartment assaulted the victim.

When he went to leave the apartment, an unknown subject in the hallway shot him multiple times.

The victim was uncooperative with investigators and is currently in custody for a warrant out of North Carolina.

Police say the investigation is still ongoing, and there is no suspect description at this time.
