Building a Better Boyertown will host its annual Dog Days of Summer celebration on Thursday, July 17, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., during the regular Boyertown Farmers Market.
The pet-friendly event, organized in partnership with Zimmer’s Pets, will take place in the parking lot of the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles at 129 S. Reading Avenue. Community members are invited to bring their dogs and enjoy an evening of activities that highlight both local vendors and the bond between people and their pets.
“This event is all about celebrating the joy that pets bring to our lives while supporting our amazing community of local vendors,” said Ellen Martignetti, Main Street Manager for Building a Better Boyertown. “We’re especially excited to partner with Zimmer’s Pets for the third year in a row.”
Highlights of the evening include a pet vendor market, giveaways, a basket raffle, and a dog costume contest at 6:30 p.m. Families will also have the chance to meet the character Bluey from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., while live music by Steve Walker will be featured from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Wow Wagon food truck is scheduled to be on site throughout the event.
Dog Days of Summer is free and open to the public. Updates, including any changes due to weather, will be shared on the Boyertown Farmers Market and Building a Better Boyertown social media pages.
