The 49th Annual Greater Governor Mifflin League (GGML) Community Days festival will return this summer with nine full days of food, music, games, and family fun. The event will take place from Friday, June 27 through Saturday, July 5 on the campus of Governor Mifflin Intermediate School at 600 Governor Drive in Shillington.
After successful events in 2023 and 2024, organizers have made the new location at the Intermediate School permanent. The site is just a few blocks away from the festival’s longtime former home at Governor Mifflin Senior High School. Entry to the fair remains free, and guests can take advantage of complimentary shuttle bus service provided by First Student from the high school and middle school parking lots.
Founded in 1976, the Greater Governor Mifflin League is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the local community. Proceeds from the fair are distributed to local fire departments, ambulance associations, scouting groups, schools, and community projects. Since its inception, the GGML has given over $500,000 back to the Governor Mifflin area.
This year’s entertainment lineup spans a wide range of musical acts and family-friendly events. Opening night on Friday, June 27 will feature a performance by Shillington’s own Uptown Band, an appearance by Mr. Nice Guy Keith Scharlach, and an opening ceremony hosted by the Patriotic Order Sons of America. Ride wristbands from Penn Valley Shows will be available at a special $30 rate.
Highlights throughout the week include performances by The New Individuals, Stephanie Grace Band’s Salute to Taylor Swift & Friends, and a double Elvis tribute featuring Jeff Krick and Jeff Krick Jr. Tuesday, July 1 will feature popular party band Go Go Gadjet and the Community Days Beauty Pageant. On Wednesday, July 2, festivalgoers can enjoy a Neil Diamond tribute by Real Diamond, plus appearances by The Belle Tones and children’s characters from Zoo Much Fun.
Thursday’s events include 80s tribute band Sloth Love Chunk, MixTape Unplugged with members of The Uptown Band, a cornhole tournament, and a ride wristband special. On Friday, July 4, Bunchafunk featuring Reggie Brown and Vinyl Rush will perform during the annual Community Days Car Cruise.
The festival concludes on Saturday, July 5 with Berks County’s largest fireworks display. Live entertainment that evening includes Cheyenne Pohl with the Clockwork Band and The Wyomissing Band. The final night will also feature a grand raffle drawing, in addition to the nightly 50/50 and Pick-a-Prize auctions held throughout the week.
